NFL Mock Draft

1. QB Sam Bradford- Oklahoma (St.Louis Rams)

Sam Bradford is the best quarterback in this draft and the Rams need him to solidify the future of their franchise.

2. DT Ndamukong Suh- Nebraska (Detroit Lions)

Suh is arguably the best player in this draft and can have an instant impact on a suddenly rebuilt Lions defensive line.

3. DT Gerald McCoy – Oklahoma (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

The Buccaneers need defensive line help in any way and they’ll be happy getting either Suh or McCoy here.

4. S Eric Berry- Tennessee (Washington Redskins)

The Redskins biggest need is tackle but Berry is too good to pass up, he is the best free safety available and the Redskins really need a play maker in the secondary.

5. OT Russell Okung- Oklahoma St. (Kansas City Chiefs)

The Chiefs need a big-time tackle and Okung is just that. He is a great fit there and will help rectify their weak offensive line.

6. WR Dez Bryant (Seattle Seahawks)

Dez Bryant has tons of potentially but is viewed very negatively by many for his off the field actions. After missing out on Brandon Marshall the Seahawks really need to take a chance on him, even this early on in the draft.

7.CB Joe Haden  (Cleveland Browns)

The Browns secondary is below average and a shutdown corner could really help them out. I think Joe Haden and the Browns makes sense.

8. QB Jimmy Clausen (Oakland Raiders)

The Raiders want to win now and they simply can’t with the current QB’s on the roster. Clausen can play now and win now, especially with a solid offensive around him.

9. OT Trent Williams-Oklahoma (Buffalo Bills)

Trent Williams is looking like one of the nations top prospects coming into this draft and has now seemed to solidify himself as the 2nd best tackle on the board. The Bills could use an athletic and strong guy like Williams to anchor that line for years to come.

10. DE Derrick Morgan-Georgia Tech (Jacksonville Jaguars)

Derrick Morgan provides the Jags with the kind of pass rush their looking for. Del Rio can help make a name for Morgan at the next level.

11. ILB Rolando McClain- Alabama (Denver Broncos)

McClain is the most intelligent defensive player in this draft and is a great leader. McClain is a defensive play caller and  like a quarterback on defensive. He has the ability to take over the Denver defense.

12. NT Dan Williams -Tennessee (Miami Dolphins)

The Dolphins need to improve their defensive and a nose tackle is the piece they need to start building around. Dan Williams is a big boy who can clog the middle in a 3-4.

13. OT Bryan Bulaga- Iowa (San Francisco 49ers)

Bulaga is a fierce competitor and a tough nosed guy that would work well with Singletary. The 49’ers need a starting right tackle and Bulaga can fill that for them instantly.

14. RB CJ Spiller -Clemson (Seattle Seahawks)

RB is a need for the Seahawks and CJ Spiller is the best one in the draft. He is incredibly elusive and quick, he can dramtically improve their run game.

15. OG Mike Iupati-Idaho (New York Giants)

The Giants could use depth on the offensive line, Iupati is a great guard and would be great to have to develop and start in the coming years.

16. DE Jason Piere-Paul- South Florida (Tennessee Titans)

Jason Piere-Paul brings the versatility the Titans need on the defensive line. After loosing Kyle Vanden Bosch in free agency, they want a guy like Piere-Paul to fill that need.

17. S Earl Thomas-Texas  (San Francisco 49ers)

Earl Thomas is a great safety prospect that needs some time to develop, but definitely has great skills. The 49’ers could use his help in the secondary to help get turnovers.

18. G/C Maurkice Pouncey-Florida ( Pittsburgh Steelers)

Pouncey is a great inside lineman and can help patch up holes in the Steelers line wherever they need him.

19. DE Jared Odrick- Penn State (Atlanta Falcons)

Odrick can help provide the Falcons with a pass rush, which has been lacking and they could use more youth on their defense.

20. CB Kyle Wilson- Boise St. (Houston Texans)

The Texans need a corner and I think Wilson is a legitimate corner who can help replace Dunta Robinson.

21. TE Jermain Gresham- Oklahoma (Cincinnati Bengals)

The Bengals are still looking for an answer at tight end and with Gresham I think they finally find it. He will help their passing game open up.

22. OLB Brandon Graham- Michigan (New England Patriots)

Graham is a smaller than average linebacker who plays with the type of passion Belichick can take advantage of. Graham needs to help the Patriots improve their linebacker core.

23. OT Anthony Davis- Rutgers (Green Bay Packers)

Anthony Davis is an elite tackle and the Packers need to keep Rogers off his back more, its a good fit. Davis is a top prospect but has fallen a little behind the other offensive tackles as of late.

24. S Taylor Mays – USC (Philadelphia Eagles)

The Eagles need a safety and a player like Mays might have a good career there. He is joining a pretty good defensive already and has the size and speed to make an impact.

25.WR Demaryius Thomas-  Georgia Tech (Baltimore Ravens)

The Ravens did well getting Boldin and resigning Mason but they need youth at the position and Thomas is a good talent.

26. OLB Sergio Kindle- Texas (Arizona Cardinals)

Kindle can add youth to the Cards linebackers and can add versatility to their defense from the outside.

27. OT Bruce Campbell- Maryland (Dallas Cowboys)

The Cowboys need somebody to replace Flozell and his huge mass. Bruce Campbell might be the much more athletic counterpart and could start tackle for them next year.

28. RB Ryan Matthews- Fresno State (San Diego Chargers)

The Chargers need to complement Sproles in the backfield with a tough guy like Matthews. Matthews can handle a lot of carries and can run between the tackles.

29. DE Everson Griffen- USC (New York  Jets)

The Jets need to beef up their defensive line. Griffen is a solid DE and could be a great addition to their defensive line rotation.

30. DT Brian Price- UCLA (Minnesota Vikings)

The Vikings need depth and also a future replacement for Pat and Kevin Williams, Price is  a good player who can become great under the close eye of the Viking greats.

31. OT Charles Brown- USC(Indianapolis Colts)

The Colts can use depth on the offensive line and Charles Brown is the best tackle still around. He is a first round/ early second round talent and is a project for the Colts in the future.

32. OLB Jerry Hughes- TCU (New Orleans Saints)

Hughes is a sold rush linebacker who can play OLB for the Saints along side Vilma and fit in well to improve their defense.

  1. what do you think of the mock?

  2. Adam Stern

    Jackson,
When you say changes for the good with the Redskins, what do you mean? I mean, obviously Shanahan is going to want to do that and I think he has to an extent so far but where is he really trying to take this ballclub?

    • With a new president at the helm the Redskins have changed the way they do things as a organization. They are approaching this offseason much differently than the previous staff did and so far people are viewing this as positive. So what I mean by good is different than the past in anticipation of future successes of this team.

  3. Adam Stern

    Jackson,
I understand what you’re saying. Under what scenarios could your board change to say Bradford under the Redskins name?

    • If for some reason the Rams can’t work out the economics with the guy its possible Bradford could be passed up. If he isn’t chosen first overall then chances are Bradford is a Redskin but it’s highly unlikely.

  4. Aaron Ebert

Adam lets hope sam bradfords name never appears on the skins board

    • Don’t worry he most likely won’t, but definitely keep your eye out for the Redskins to use their 2nd round #37 overall pick to grab a QB. Guys like Tim Tebow, Colt McCoy, John Skelton, or Tony Pike should still be around by then unless of course they decide to trade that pick up for somebody like Denver’s Brandon Marshall who is available right now.

  5. Aaron Ebert

haha there goes the second round pick AND HELLO DONOVAN MCNABB DC WELCOMES YOU
